Yep, there’s a lot to choose from, that’s for sure.

I think Stone Animals or Some Zombie Contingency Plans would be great choices.

Thanks, Jim. It was really fun to do. She is a fantastic writer. I may in fact do another story from Magic for Beginners at some point, but I haven’t decided which one yet. And if she puts anything else out on Creative Commons License, I’ll definitely consider that, too.

thank you for doing this story, Kelly Link is a marvel. Feel free to tackle another story of hers. You did a great job on this one.

Frank,

I enjoyed this one. I’m looking forward to part 2 when the story really unfolds. Keep up the great work.

Hi Karen, I’m honored to have “popped your podcast cherry” as it were. ;)

There are a lot of great lines in the story, no doubt about it. Kelly Link is just an awesome writer. The pajamas thing will become clearer in Part 2.

As for the technical issues, it’s hard for me to say without knowing your specs. These audio files are large, though, so if you’re not on broadband, or have a lot of stuff running simultaneously that could be an issue. I’ll look into things on my end, though, to see if I can find anything there.

Thanks for listening, commenting, and for letting me know about the tech issues! I appreciate it.

Frank,

I am now no longer a podcast virgin. Surprisingly, you have no brooklyn accent, froglike or otherwise.

The things that hit me in no particular order:

she looked like she had set her favorite city on fire

why batu had so many pajamas

flannel with heads in baskets–that’s just wrong!

ugly little bed wetting dog

hated people in december just for practice

the maple syrup tins..they get a lot of canadians

the first sentence of to kill a mockingbird!

frothy meat drink

squeezable pork…insert obvious joke here

grape scented magic markers

you’re wearing my diary

my favorite part was when…

Canadian…not a zombie

comment? The podcast started oddly, then I had no pause or play button…then stopped abruptly…

hey….just like the first time I was a virgin…lol….no wait, I was serious about the technical issue…the other part just kind of naturally filled itself
